Charles Bridge, Prague - Unfinished

Not finished yet, but as it is the anniversary of the Velvet Revolution I thought I would show it.
This has to be the most complicated scene I have ever drawn, I have lost count of the number of redraws I have done for certain elements of it. It's come together now, just need to add more detail and colour.

Greenroofs 2 - House Commission

I did several drawings of this commission, I thought two were worth taking further. Luckily the owners of the house agreed. It would have been a shame to have had to shelve one.

Greenroofs - House Commission

This was drawn on an easel, A2 size. I really enjoyed the freedom of going for it on a larger scale. Now I just have to do the same in public places and risk being moved on for being an obstruction.

Prague - Unfinished

This drawing took a couple of hours to get right. Although the composition looks fairly simple the small measurements I had to make to make the huge structure of the cathedral and surrounding buildings look correct took a while.
I like the happy accident of the shadow of the man on the cross to the bottom right. The cross was part of the floor pattern, the shadow was mine. I might redraw the sketchbook out of the shadow though.

Charles Bridge, Prague - Unfinished

This drawing was done in one continuous motion. The view i wanted to draw was so complicated there was no way i was going to measure it so I just started drawing really fast. Luckily when I finished the drawing made sense.
I need to add a bit more to the left hand side for the composition to be perfect.

Prague drawing slightly altered plus nun.

The bottom left of the drawing wasn't observed correctly so I have redrawn it. The composition needed a figure so I added a passing nun.

Boats Bridges Birds, Stratford. (artwork in progess)

I did the initial drawing for this in August last year. I felt it wasn't working so left it unfinished. I realised after many months that the problem was a large chunk of the left hand side. I returned to Stratford three times to do redraws. The third time I got it right. It was a relief because i could see the potential in the rest of the composition and didn't want to abandon it.

Woody on my lap

I'm sat at the computer with Woody on my lap, he is watching Peppa Pig.

Trinity Lane, Cambridge

This is an example of something i've been striving for for a long time. Ever since i started getting seriously into drawing I've had this idea where I draw everything around me. I sort of wrap the drawing around myself. With this scene of Cambridge I did just that. If I had drawn myself in the picture I would be stood on the pavement next to the drainpipe (middle bottom).
Initially the drawing didn't include any people but it needed some to add life. As the subject was Trinity Lane I included the Holy Trinity.

Le Tabac (artwork in progress)

The whole of the left side and the top section have been redrawn. It was quite difficult as the majority of the picture was done in one continuous swift movement. The redraws had to make sense and also flow with the original.
